Custom Henredon Bar Cabinet
This piece in many ways perfectly exemplifies the Magpie ethos. We came across this beautiful Henredon piece, which is one of our favorite designers of vintage furniture. The quality is unmatched. However this piece was an outdated media cabinet built to hold an old school television in a living room setup. We spent a lot of time brainstorming a creative new purpose for this excellent piece and this is the result!
We completely gutted the media cabinet section and crafted a new custom home bar experience. The top shelf features lighting and brass columns to display your favorite bottles, while the lower section is now a custom bar, glassware, and bottle storage rack on gliding slides for easy service! We added new plywood backing with custom wallpaper, and voila! This stunner has a whole new lease on life as a one of a kind home bar station.
The top cabinet is encased in glass and has three light settings for further storage/display of your collection. The touch push top drawer has stunning carvings and is ideal for your bar tool storage, while three additional drawers provide even more functional storage in this piece. We are incredibly proud of this project and hope you love it too!
